This question arises in the mind of every sedan buyer of India . Lets compare the best of the sedan’s and India’s favorite sedans.These are Maruti Suzuki Ciaz , Honda City and Hyundai Verna .

lets talk about Suzuki Ciaz , it has update headlights and taillights ,which are LED and DRLs and projector for headlamps, new front-rear bumpers , crome treatment on front grill ,the alloys are 16 spoke unit and dual tone and rest remains the same like pre-facelift model. The features on offer are decent enough, but we expect more as per segment.

The Ciaz offers only Petrol engine which is BS6 and meets all the emission norms . Now this engine produces 103 BHP of power at 6000 RPM and 138 Nm of torque at 4400 RPM, which are decent enough for sedan of this size and it is paired to either 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic torque converter gear box.

Now lets switch to Honda City , which is the most popular since it’s launch. It gets LED headlamps and taillights , sharper and revised bumpers, new alloys dual tone and rest remains the same.

The engine is 1.5 liter i-v-tech petrol and diesel engines , we would consider the petrol engine because it is most refined and punchy. It offers both good city and highway performance and is paired with either 5-speed manual or 6-speed CVT gearbox which offers decent performance and has paddle shifters on offer.

overall this car is very practical, comfortable, reliable, durable and on and on i can keep saying about the vehicle. it is an option for buyer who is looking for practicality, comfortable, best in class features and the best engine (Petrol).

Now lets switch to Hyundai Verna , it is also known as car for Enthusiasts. this is the third generation of Verna and people are crazy for the looks of the car , for the performance it offers . Now lets start with the heart of the matter that is the engine , it offers both petrol and diesel engines both of them are supremely refined and quite fuel efficient as well as automatic is available for both petrol and diesel engine .

it offers segment leading features like seat heating and cooling, but the only problem is rear seat space which is extremely poor and only two passengers can seat because it is not that wide enough . otherwise the car gets a big YES from me.

To sum up with everything :

Ciaz : Is for the buyer who goes for rear seat space, comfortable car , fuel efficiency ,ciaz offers the best fuel efficiency in the segment, low running charges , value for money vehicle . if you go for ciaz then the petrol manual is the best.

City: it is for the buyer who looks for premium vehicle , practicality , rear seat comfort and space , reliable vehicle for family also it is the best vehicle in the segment . if you want to buy city then you should go for VX or the ZX variant and opt for only petrol engine and you can also go for automatic which is good for city driving, the diesel engine is very loud and noisy and does not offer efficiency and neither performance too

Verna : it is the car for the enthusiasts who likes driving and does care about practicality and comfort . it is the car more oriented to performance, Because the car produces segment leading performance and powerful as well. If you are opting for verna then you can go for both petrol and diesel engines both are good and automatic gearbox is also good and offers nice shifts and is 6-speed unit.

lets get to specifications of the vehicle , the figo gets 3 engine options , 2 of the petrol and 1 diesel , the petrol engine is the new one called 1.2L 3-cylinder Dragon engine produces 96 ps and 120 Nm is punchy in low end and in the top end and flat in the mid-range , for get go we need to past 3000 RPM, its is paired with new 5-speed manual transmission gearbox and returns a mileage of 20kmpl(ARAI), and other is the 1.5L petrol engine produces 123ps of power and 150 Nm of torque which is paired with 6-speed torque converter gearbox which offers nice shifts.The diesel is 1.5L TDCI engine which produces 100bhp and 215 Nm of torque which offers teriffic perfomance and returns mileage of 25 kmpl(ARAI). the fact is that all the engines of the ford figo are segment leading.

The ford has loaded this car with ton of features,its gets 7-inch touch screen, Navigation, automatic headlamps and wipers, Power-folding mirrors, auto dimming inside mirror, rear parking sensors with camera, keyless entry and push button start,Auto climate control ,ABS & EBD, 6 airbags which are segment leading !! . But the infotainment system does not get Apple Carplay & and Andriod

there is good amount space at rear, gets adjustable head rest but it misses out on arm rest which is shocking !!!. but overall the car is very much practical , easy to own, run and maintain because the ford has worked on its service network .

TATA NEXON EV

today i’m gonna tell you guys about the india’s first electric vehicle The Tata Nexon EV . It is built on safest platform and has been tested in every aspect though it be water logging conditions in India, it has been tested in 300mm of water and then too the car shines in this situation as well, it is tested for situation like fire , water logging etc.

lets start with the heart of the matter,battery is 30.2 kWh ion , tested upto 1 Million kms and designed to operate under extreme conditions. This battery is IP67 certified . Coming to the motor is powered by 3 phase permanet magnet and produces outstanding 129 PS of power and 245 Nm of torque and this torque comes from the get go itself. The battery warrenty is upto 1.6L kms/8 years .Electronics are calibrated by ZIPTORN tecnology through integrated motor control . Its liquid cool architecture chture offers consistent performance and durabilty over wide range of temperature . The car go from 0- 100 kph is just 9.9 seconds and 0-60 kph in 4.5 seconds. And the battery offer the range of 312 km (ARAI) but in real world it will do around 240-250 kms

there are great safety features like ABS ,EBD dual airbags at front that is driver and co-passenger . In terms of saftety features the TATA Motors have nailed it!

there are plenty of features in the Nexon EV, There are projector setup headlamps with LED DRLs ,rain sensing whipers, rear whiper , decent sized powered sunroof , leatherette interiors which gives a premium appeal to the buyers , fully automatic A/C with climate control system, band which is connected to car and gives an easy access to the car , with 2 drive mode on offer ,regular drive mode and sport mode which increases the torque output by 60%(tata motors claims ) , with 7- inch multi-information system includes navigation , apple car play and android auto, voice alerts on seatbelt and open door like alerts . It has mind blowing 35 connect car features powered by Tata motors Zconnect .

There is good legroom, headroom & knee room at the rear , easily 3 people can sit , with an arm rest with twin cup holders and a rear A/C went, which cools the cabin in no time. Electronically adjusted rear viem mirrors , push button start , key less entry, with request sensor on the driver’s door.

The ownership of the car is easy because of largest EV service net work across India.24×7 emergency and break down assistance and road side assistence as well . The running cost of this nexon EV is just ₹1 per km!! The price of the vehicle starts at 13.99 Lakhs (mumbai), which makes this car quite vaule for money .
